This is the hilarious moment a golfer went to take a shot before swinging and snapping his club in half. <br /><br />Brian Aitken, 53, was playing a round of golf at Niddry Castle Golf Club in Winchburgh, West Lothian, Scotland, with his wife, Janice Speirs, 48.<br /><br />The golf ball had come to a stop in some long grass by a tree when Brian, attempted to whack it to clear it. <br /><br />But when he swung his club to strike the ball it hit the tree and snapped clean in half. <br /><br />Bemused Brian had no idea what had happened until he looked down to see the broken club, while Janice can be heard laughing in the background. <br /><br />Brian, from West Lothian, Scotland, said: "I was stunned, I couldn't believe it!"<br /><br />Janice added: "We just couldn't stop laughing - it was hilarious. <br /><br />"He's always telling me he's the best golfer around! <br /><br />"He plays like three times a week, he's had to order a new set of clubs."
