Rudy Seiger was born in San Francisco and lived in the city his entire life. <br /><br />At a young age he started to play violin. <br /><br />He had a brother who was a skilled pianiest. <br /><br />Rudy provided music for the Fairmont Hotel starting in 1907 (when the city was recovering from the 1906 quake). <br /><br />He was married, but his wife died during the Spanish flu epidemic. <br /><br />He owned a small ranch near Mt. Diablo, in Contra Costa County, as a vacation home. <br /><br />He made Victor records, but they did not sell well. <br /><br />He died in 1961.
