Lancashire Police officer PC Ashley Aspinall suffered bruising to brain after being assaulted in Blackpool

As a result of being knocked to the ground by defendant Ian Scott, PC Ashley Aspinall suffered a serious head injury, including bruising to the brain.<br /><br />At one point his distraught colleagues thought Ashley might die at the scene.
