This is the moment police officers rescued residents from an apartment fire that was allegedly caused by an e-bike battery.<br /><br />The officers, from the New York Police Department (NYPD), rushed towards the apartment building in Queens after being alerted by a bystander. <br /><br />Bodycam footage from July 19 shows the officers breaking down a door to reach the apartment.<br /><br />Fire sprinklers had already activated and the officers were able to put out the fire using a fire extinguisher<br /><br />According to report, it is believed that the fire was caused by a lithium e-bike battery which overheated.
