A FOOTBALLER was astonishingly sent off after peeking by the side of the pitch before taking a corner.<br /><br />The bizarre moment took place during a Copa Peru match between Atletico Awajun and Cantorcillo FC.<br /><br />In the 71st minute, Awajun was awarded a corner with the two teams locked in a goalless draw.<br /><br />Awajun player Sebastian Munoz waited to take the set piece as Cantorcillo keeper Lucho Ruiz received medical attention in the penalty area.<br /><br />But when Munoz realized Ruiz was not going to be ready for some time, he incredibly took the opportunity to turn around and relieve himself.<br /><br />One of the Cantorcillo players caught him in the act and pointed to make the referee aware.<br /><br />The official then went over to Munoz and gave him a straight red card.<br /><br />Reacting to the clip on social media, one person said: "Is This The Most Embarrassing Sending Off Ever? From the Copa Peru. A red card that has to be seen to be believed."<br /><br />This is not the first time a player has gone to the toilet during a match.<br /><br />In 2017, Salford keeper Max Crocombe was sent off for urinating during a National League North match against Bradford.<br /><br />One year earlier, Mansfield forward Adi Yussuf was handed a fine and a five-game ban after peeing at the back of a stand while his side played in a League Two clash against Plymouth.<br /><br />In 2009, Jens Lehmann memorably took a pee during a match.<br /><br />The goalkeeper was playing for Stuttgart at the time and hopped over the advertising hoardings behind the goal to relieve himself before he was interrupted when Unirea Urziceni went on a counter-attack and he had to rush back in goal.<br /><br />Gary Lineker famously pooed on the pitch while leading the line for England against the Republic of Ireland at the World Cup '90.<br /><br />Heading into the game with an upset stomach, Lineker was forced to wipe his shorts on the turf in a moment he would rather forget.
