The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had adopted Hazrat Zaid as his son, but later, Allah revealed that adopted sons should not be considered as biological sons. Hazrat Zaid then divorced his wife, Zainab, and she later married the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).<br /><br />Hazrat Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) is the only companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) whose name is mentioned in the Quran.
