Fans were left shocked that Newcastle star Joelinton wasn't sent off for bringing down Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.<br /><br />The incident occurred in the closing stages of the game at the Vitality Stadium, with Joelinton only receiving a yellow card after grabbing Neto's neck.<br /><br />Neto was left livid following the incident, with Bournemouth's frustration compounded by the fact that Dango Ouattara had a goal controversially ruled out during an eventful end to the game.<br /><br /><br />The game ended 1-1, with Marcus Tavernier having given Bournemouth the lead before Anthony Gordon leveled for Newcastle in the second half.<br /><br />However, after the game, there was a lot of focus on the Joelinton incident.<br /><br />One user wrote: 'Joelinton should have seen red for his foul on the goalkeeper.'<br /><br />Meanwhile, another added: 'Just seen that Joelinton incident. Like what's the ref playing at?'.<br /><br />Newcastle boss Eddie Howe admitted that Joelinton's actions were 'reckless' and added that he would talk to the player about it.<br /><br />Howe told Sky Sports: 'It's probably a little bit reckless, you can see what he was trying to do but you can't go near the head area. That's something we will talk to him about.'
