MAN POURED SCALDING HOT COFFEE OVER INFANT<br /><br />Police are searching for a man who poured scalding hot coffee over an infant boy, causing severe burns to 60% of his body. <br />The incident occurred at just after midday on Tuesday the 27th of August. The nine-month-old child was with his family at Hanlon Park in Stones Corner Queensland Australia, sitting on a picnic rug, when an unknown man approached them from behind and poured hot coffee from a thermos over the child before fleeing the scene.<br />The infant was taken to hospital with severe burns to his chest, face and arms.<br />Police described the attack as callous, cowardly, deliberate and unprovoked, "almost like an ambush". <br />Police have released images and surveillance footage of a man seen running away from the scene of the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.<br />
