A murder investigation has been opened after a woman was discovered dead with "multiple wounds."<br /><br />Officers opened the investigation after the death of a 35-year-old woman in Bury, near Manchester, last night (06/09).<br /><br />Police responded to reports of a welfare concern in Walnut Avenue around 10:30pm.<br /><br />Upon arrival, a woman was discovered with multiple wounds, and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.<br /><br />No arrests have been made, but officers have identified a suspect who they believe to be involved - but say they "do not pose a threat to the wider community at the time."
