A flight was forced to make an emergency landing due to an engine failure mid-air.<br /><br />The IndiGo flight 6E0573 was headed to Bengaluru, India, on August 30 but had to return to Kolkata minutes after take off. <br /><br />Footage captured by a passenger shows sparks shooting from the engine and smoke billowing from the underneath the wing.<br /><br />The aircraft was carrying 173 passengers and crew, all of whom were brought to safety, landing in Kolkata at 11:05 pm on a single engine.<br /><br />No injuries were reported.
