The suspected gunman in the apparent assassination attempt of former US President Donald Trump appeared before a court in Florida today.<br /><br />Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, has been charged with federal gun crimes - possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obstructed serial number.<br /><br />Court documents show that Routh was hiding on the edge of Trump's Florida golf course for nearly 12 hours before the apparent assassination attempt.<br />Trump was unharmed during the incident on Sunday - it is the second apparent attempt on his life in two month.
