A driver escaped from his electric Range Rover after it exploded and burst into flames.<br /><br />The fire started at around 9am on a five way intersection in San Francisco, California - when the Range Rover Sport First Zero Emission Plug-in set fire.<br /><br />The intersection that included Potrero Avenue, Division Street was quickly closed off by emergency services.<br /><br />The driver in the car was unharmed but was taken to hospital in an ambulance as a precaution.<br /><br />A passerby, who filmed the footage on his way to work said: "By the time I saw it the entire centre portion of the car was melted.
