Meta displays prototype augmented-reality glasses at Connect event<br /><br />Facebook owner Meta Platforms shows off its first working prototype of augmented-reality glasses, called Orion, during its annual Connect conference at its California headquarters on Sept. 25, 2024, along with updates to its existing virtual-reality and artificial-intelligence products. The Orion glasses are made of magnesium alloy and powered by custom silicon designed by Meta. Users will be able to interact with the glasses through hand-tracking voice and wrist-based neural interface.
