It did not play hot jazz--the ensemble was more likely to record a waltz than a fox-trot. <br /><br />It was led by violinist Alexander Hackel and cellist William E. Bergè. <br /><br />Pianist is Jack Glogau. <br /><br />The band recorded for Victor between 1921 and 1922, but also worked with smaller labels such as Perfect and Federal between 1922 and 1923. <br /><br />The Federal releases were reissued on Silvertone.
