Drunk passengers arrested at Gatwick for causing 'tequila terror' on flight

Seven 'drunk and unruly' passengers were arrested by armed police after causing 'tequila terror' on a flight to Gatwick from Cancun.<br /><br />Fellow passengers said the group of men and women had been swigging from large bottles of duty-free-bought tequila and began arguing aggressively midway through the cross-Atlantic flight from Mexico. <br /><br />One eyewitness said he was appalled by the 'disgusting' language used by the group, as terrified young families also awoke to the chaotic scene unfolding this morning (01/10). <br /><br />A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: "Police are investigating a report of a disturbance on board a flight inbound to London Gatwick from Cancun on October 1.<br /><br />"Officers have spoken with passengers and crew.<br /><br />"Anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 224 of 01/10."<br /><br />TUI has been contacted for comment.
