Cuba: Prominent songwriter Marta Valdes passes away at age 90

The outstanding Cuban songwriter, performer, and music critic Marta Valdés passed away on Thursday in Havana at the age of 90. Valdes had a prolific professional career which includes the composition of boleros, sones, criollas, and habaneras.
