Passengers on board a cruise ship has been diverted from Florida to Cuba to avoid a direct hit from Hurricane Milton.<br /><br />The Sun Princess, which set off from Southampton, England, 16 days ago on September 23, 2024, has been diverted to the north coast of Cuba.<br /><br />The ship was supposed to dock at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, today (09/10) but due to the category four hurricane it was initially moved forward to yesterday (08/10).<br /><br />But, due to the hurricane, Port Everglades - where the ship would stop - was closed and the ship was stranded five miles off the coast of Florida for the storm.<br /><br />While some passengers were airlifted off, the cruise ship was diverted to the coast of Cuba to avoid the direct impact of Hurricane Milton.
