The Ripon Museums Trust is set to receive £2.5m from National Lottery Heritage Fund which is part of the £30m from National Lottery projects nationwide scheme. The funding will go towards essential repairs to Workhouse Museum and care of its 8,700 artefacts in storage. The trio of museums comprise a Victorian Workhouse, a Georgian Prison and Police Museum and Courthouse.
