Orchestra playing vegetables to launch West End

A production named ‘The ‘Farmonic’ Orchestra’ is set to make its debut on London’s West-End – featuring musicians playing instruments made from the vegetables found in Cornish pasties.<br /><br />The London Vegetable Orchestra has collaborated with pasty maker Ginsters to perform the one-off show at the Other Palace Theatre on the 3rd November. <br /><br />The band of four classically trained musicians who create music using instruments made entirely from vegetables, will be, for the first time, constructing them from swedes and potatoes for a 60-minute lunchtime performance.<br /><br />Patrick Johns, from the London Vegetable Orchestra, said: “Bringing our vegetable instruments to the iconic West End is a dream come true.”<br /><br />“It’s not every day you hear a swede or potato play a melody, and we’re thrilled to share this unforgettable experience with the audience.”
