Southern Water said it is ‘improving the sewer network’ in Lancing by ‘extending the rising main’ in Grinstead Lane. The water company say this will ‘increase capacity and prevent blockages’. <br /><br />“Our teams are working to upgrade the sewer network in Lancing, including at Grinstead Lane where larger capacity pipework is being installed,” a spokesperson explained.<br /><br />"We’re sorry for the disruption this work is causing the local community, but we would like to reassure customers that this is a vital project to improve our infrastructure for the benefit of those living in the area and for the environment.<br /><br />“Traffic management has been put in place at Grinstead Lane – between the junctions of Crabtree Lane and Curvins Way – to ensure work is carried out as safely and quickly as possible.”
