Police shut down a Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest over the weekend. On Sunday, Oct. 27, fans who organized the competition in New York City's Washington Square Park were in for several surprises.<br /><br />At one point, the Oscar nominee himself surprised the crowd, with videos from the Associated Press and fans on X capturing him waving, greeting supporters, and posing for photos as he made his way through the excited audience. Police eventually shut down the event citing the group did not have a permit.
