The Deputy Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations gave an emotional request at the UN General Assembly. <br /><br />Majid Bamya asked delegates: “Do you know what it is like to have to stand here and explain why your people deserve to be saved when they are being slaughtered and starved to death? <br /><br />Do you know how it feels when your people are being slaughtered, when they are being starved to death, when you have to stand here and explain why your people deserve to be saved, and when you have to sit in the same hall with people who call your people 'animals'?”
