Belzoni, MS police officer James Lee Jackson was arrested after being found unconscious in his patrol car while idling at a stoplight in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Officers responding to the scene discovered Jackson, 41, with a methamphetamine pipe in his hand. A search of his vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana. Despite multiple attempts to wake him, Jackson showed signs of intoxication once alert but refused both field sobriety tests and drug testing. He was subsequently arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI refusal and taken to the Yazoo City Jail, where he later posted bail.
