China's Foreign Ministry on Thursday confirmed President Xi Jinping's congratulatory message to Donald Trump on his election as president of the United States.<br /><br />Xi urged the two countries to find the right way to get along in the new era for the benefit of both countries and the world.<br /><br />When asked at the press briefing about Trump's possible policies towards China, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning reiterated China's stance on the trade war and the Taiwan issue.<br /><br />"No one will win a trade war, nor will it benefit the world."<br /><br />And China urges the U.S. to handle Taiwan-related issues prudently so as not to seriously damage Sino-US relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.<br /><br />#ChinaUS #XiJinping #DonaldTrump #USElection<br />
