Gene Rodemich Orchestra plays "Blue Grass Blues" on Brunswick 2527 <br /><br />Gene Rodemich's full name is Eugene Frederick Rodemich. He was born on April 13, 1890, in St Louis, Missouri. <br /><br />This pianist and orchestra leader had success in the 1920s as a band leader and composer. Later, he composed music for numerous films. <br /><br />He was the son of a dentist, Dr. Henry Rodemich. <br /><br />Before making Brunswick discs, Rodemich was the accompanist for Elsie Janis on several tours, including one in Europe. <br /><br />He died on February 27, 1934, in New York.
