Christmas season in Farnham has begun as hundreds gathered to see the Mayor, Town Crier and a special guest switch on the lights in Gostrey Meadow.<br />The day began early at 13:00 pm with Rowledge School kicking off the festive fun which saw schools, theatre companies and bands perform.<br />Gostrey meadow was filled with families trying out fun fair games whilst parents enjoyed mulled wine and other festive treats.<br />In attendance was a special guest from the North Pole. Santa was at the meadow asking children about their Christmas wishlist and asking parents if they had been naughty or nice this year.<br />The lights were switched on to a crowd of onlookers at 16:30 pm as Farnham Town Mayor Cllr Brodie Mauluka, special guest Farnham and Bordon MP Greg Stafford and Santa switched the lights on.<br />After the mayor performed the honours in lighting the town he then tuned up to perform on the big stage with his band Brobed Stills.
