Anti-war protesters gathered outside Shannon Airport today (Sun) - waving Palestinian flags.<br /><br />Crowds assembled to show their opposition to use of the Irish airport by the US military, according to reports.<br /><br />Footage shows a significant Garda presence at the protest, which took place just outside the County Clare airport.<br /><br />Posting on X at 1pm, Shannon Airport said: "A planned protest is currently underway on the N19 approach road.<br /><br />"Passengers are advised to allow for extra travel time to the airport today. Diversions are in place on approach to the airport.<br /><br />"All flights are planned to operate as per the schedule. All updates will be posted to our social media channels.<br /><br />"We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you."
