Excited Huawei fans flock to Beijing store to check out new smartphone and OS<br /><br />Huawei fans on Tuesday, November 26, were excited to check out the Chinese tech giant's new smartphone at a flagship store in Beijing but some said they would rather "wait and see" if it performs well after a year or two years of usage.<br /><br />Huawei Technologies unveiled its Mate 70 smartphone series on Tuesday, bolstering its premium smartphone comeback while showcasing its own operating system that looks to cleanly break away from US technology.<br /><br />The Mate 70 series is the first major commercial rollout of the HarmonyOS NEXT, a significant step in Huawei's push for software independence since US curbs cut off its access to Google services in 2019.
