<p>Soccer star Paul Pogba’s older brother, Mathias, testified in a Paris court on Tuesday (December 3) in an extortion case that has made waves in French football.</p><p>Mathias Pogba and five other defendants are accused of attempting to squeeze 13 million euros ($13.5 million) while blackmailing the former Juventus midfielder.</p><p>Mathias posted a video on social media in 2022 promising to reveal explosive personal information about Paul.</p><p>Pogba’s lawyers had said the video followed threats and attempts at extortion propagated by what they called a "criminal gang."</p><p>Paul Pogba accused childhood friends of snatching him and leading him to a place where he was held at gunpoint by two men.</p><p>The men accused in the trial deny the allegations.</p><p>A verdict is expected later in the week.</p>
