Bulky sets are the most obvious. Then again, it is hard to tell which set is rigged to fail after leaving them turned on for a period of at least three to six months. If they last for longer than that, the set is deemed not rigged to fail.<br />If you can't remove the LED's (regardless, they're all the same size) on a bulky set (remove the coloured cover to verify), that is another sign.
