Israeli army tanks and armored vehicles have crossed the border fence and entered the buffer zone which separates occupied Golan Heights from Syria on Sunday.<br /><br />Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said seizing this area would help protect Israeli residents after Syrian troops abandoned positions following the overthrowing of Bashar Assad.<br /><br />#israel #syria<br />
