CYCLING star Lars van der Haar was spotted using his SADDLE to forcibly pop his dislocated shoulder back into the socket mid-race.<br /><br />The gruesome but brave scenes saw the Dutchman continue racing in the Superprestige Gullegem Cross on Saturday.<br /><br />Van der Haar crashed heavily in the fifth lap of the mucky 2600m cyclocross race.<br /><br />TV footage showed him hunker down with his right arm extended over his top tube.<br /><br />The 33-year-old could first be seen struggling to raise his limb before resting it on his bike saddle to realign his shoulder.<br /><br />He then thrusts his body weight downwards against his frame to reset the misplaced joint.<br /><br />Riders, who were forced to pick up their bikes amid the muddy field, ran past him as he worked on his body in the hard shoulder.<br /><br />A stunned Eurosport commentator asked: "Did he just pop his shoulder back in?"<br /><br />Van der Haar, who finished 10th, then bravely got back on his bike to continue the mud-caked ride.<br /><br />The whole procedure took the cyclocross rider just 10 seconds to perform.<br /><br />Riders, who were forced to pick up their bikes amid the muddy field, ran past him as he worked on his body in the hard shoulder.<br /><br />A stunned Eurosport commentator asked: "Did he just pop his shoulder back in?"<br /><br />Van der Haar, who finished 10th, then bravely got back on his bike to continue the mud-caked ride.<br /><br />The whole procedure took the cyclocross rider just 10 seconds to perform.<br /><br />After the hour-long race, Van der Haar said: "It took a long time to get it back in. I also crashed, so it wasn’t my day."<br /><br />But it's not the first time Van der Haar has been spotted using his bike to help pop his shoulder during a competition.<br /><br />Last season, the Dutchman had a similar incident at Superprestige Niel.<br /><br />One fan wrote online: "He's done this before 😅."<br /><br />A second said: "It hurts like hell, but when it's in place the pain is gone."<br /><br />A third added: "CX riders are made different 💪."<br /><br />While others compared the toughness of pro riders to footballers.<br /><br />One joked: "Should make the overpaid footballers diving around as if they have been hit by a sniper watch this!"<br />
