Pete Hegseth, the Fox TV presenter and former National Guard officer Donald Trump has picked for defense secretary, faced a tough line of questioning from opposition Democratic Party senators at his confirmation hearing. Hegseth was asked about his lack of government experience and his extramarital affairs, sexual misconduct accusations and alleged issues with alcohol abuse.
