On April 23rd, 2024, municipal authorities destroyed my seventh shelter ⛺ outside the UNHCR office, stripping away my dignity and essential items without judicial mandate. The Ombudsman’s response in July, plagued by misleading narratives, affronted refugee rights and exemplified systemic negligence.<br /><br />Determined to regain my dignity, I raised slogans in anguish on July 16th as starvation and exhaustion 😔 marred my protest at the UNHCR office, amidst evasive staff showing serpentine evasion. The tension crescendoed with unannounced police intervention, starting with baseless demands for identification and aggressive detention 🚓.<br /><br />Weeks of procedural injustice unfolded, shrouded in opaqueness and deceit, deepening despair in inhumane prison conditions on Crete Island. Emerging scarred and possessionless, I battled bureaucratic labyrinths for redress, only finding silence 🤐.
