Scientists have found a planet so strange, it seems to ignore the rules of physics we know! đ This wild discovery, called WASP-12b, is a gas giant so close to its star that it’s stretched into the shape of a football instead of being round. đ Not only that, but it’s so hot—about 4,600°F (2,550°C)—that it’s literally being vaporized by its star’s intense heat. đ What’s crazier?
