Wai Yee Hong Chinese Supermarket at Eastgate Oriental City Complex celebrated the Lunar (Chinese) New year today (February 1) with an array of performances and food markets.<br /><br />The free event started over 30 years ago at Wai Yee Hong’s small shop on Station Road and now raises thousands of pounds for The Grand Appeal. <br /><br />This year’s Lunar (Chinese) New Year event included performances from Jodie Tang Cooper, PUMA Martial Arts and UWE K-Pop, and the iconic traditional lion dances.
