A carpenter who considered suicide when thieves swiped £12k of tools in minutes is one of 500 tradespeople who will march on parliament over a "van tool theft epidemic" <br /><br />Hundreds of tradespeople are descending on Westminster today (3) to demand the government do more to stop the "tool theft epidemic".<br /><br />Among them is Stephen Baker, 31, who considered taking his own life after thieves stole £12,000 worth of tools from his van.<br /><br />Under the gaze of CCTV, they popped the lock in just 22 seconds - emptied the van in four minutes - and carpenter Stephen couldn't claim anything on insurance because it was a hire van.<br />
