A teenager has been arrested after a schoolboy was stabbed at a secondary school.<br /><br />The victim, 15, was rushed to hospital "with serious injuries" this afternoon (Mon), police said. <br /><br />All Saints’ Catholic High School in Sheffield, South Yorks., was placed in 'lockdown' after the incident just after 12.15pm.<br /><br />A boy of 15 was arrested in connection with the stabbing, South Yorkshire Police said.<br /><br />A spokesman said: "Following a stabbing at a school in Sheffield, a teenage boy has been detained by police and our officers are on scene.<br /><br />"A 15-year-old boy is enroute to hospital with serious injuries. His family is aware.<br /><br />"We would like to reassure parents of pupils that we do not deem there to be a further risk at the school and further updates will be shared when possible."<br /><br />Emergency services were called to the school in Graville Road in the city at 12.17pm. <br /><br />An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene and the school grounds currently remain closed.<br /><br />The school earlier alerted parents that a “serious incident” has happened and that it was "currently in lockdown".<br /><br />The message home read: “Students will be released when police give permission."<br /><br />It is the second time in less than a week the school has been put on lockdown.<br /><br />Staff and students were given the “stay put” order on January 29 over “threats of violence” between a “small number of students.”<br /><br />This led to those involved being “escorted off the premises” and no violence or injuries were reported.
