NBA hopes new All-Star Game format resonates with players, fans<br /><br />The NBA 2025 All-Star Weekend will kick off in San Francisco, California on Feb. 13, 2025 but it won't all look the same as it has in previous editions. For the first time, the league is adopting a new one-night tournament of games instead of the traditional East-West matchup. Bryan Spruell, president of league operations, said the league was taking on elements from the tournament played on Feb. 14, which features rookies and sophomores, known on All-Star weekend as the Rising Stars.
