Detectives searching for Rania Alayed, who was murdered by her husband 11 years ago, have found human remains near a lay-by on the A19 in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.<br /><br />The discovery came after Ahmed Al-Khatib, who is serving life for her murder, led police to the site.<br /><br />Alayed, 25, was killed in Salford, Greater Manchester, in 2013, but her body was never found.<br /><br />Her son Yazan Khatib, 21, said he hopes to finally give his mother a proper resting place.<br /><br />Police have yet to confirm the identity of the remains.
