#smorph #DecentSampler #Sampling
Greetings from the Black Forest!

Steamer is built from samples of a pressure cooker. Four samples can be combined with their each own ADSR envelope. In addition, there are phaser, chorus and reverb as effects.

Every now and then, when we use our pressure cooker, it starts "singing" in a loud - sometimes annoying - sinusoidal noise tone. Over time, I've collected several of these sounds and have now created a Decent Sampler Pack from them.

The demo shows some possibilities - from short percussive sounds to spherical soundscapes.

For example, a sample with a short attack phase, minimal decay and no sustain and release can be combined as a kind of transient with a sample with a long attack phase. So anything from soft percussive sounds to spherical floating sound carpets and even drones can be created.

I actually have more samples of our "monster" and I think there will be a version 2.0 of Steamer at some point.

Recorded with a Zoom H1n. Edited with audacity and Cakewalk. Demosong created with Cakewalk.

For the demo I used additional drums from RD-6, DR-220, Sitala and some samples for the outro.

Have fun and feel free to leave a comments!

Find the Sample Pack on pianobook:
https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/steamer-1-0/

Find me on Bandlab:
Bandlab https://www.bandlab.com/smorph (Thank you for a tip!)
