A lawyer who taught herself to DJ on YouTube after her divorce has turned her hobby into a thriving side career.<br /><br />Kavita Varu, 54, from Sheffield, started mixing music during lockdown and went viral after livestreaming her sets.<br /><br />She now plays at festivals, corporate events, and even Ibiza, all while maintaining her full-time legal career.<br /><br />Her biggest achievement was opening for DJ Pete Tong in 2023 before an 8,000-strong crowd.<br /><br />Kavita now also works as a motivational speaker, encouraging others to pursue their dreams, saying: “Never give up—follow your passion and make it happen.”
