Locals in Elephant and Castle, London, are calling for changes to a cycle lane that ends abruptly in the middle of a pavement, creating safety concerns.<br /><br />The lane, which terminates outside a supermarket, forces pedestrians, including families and elderly residents, to share the path with fast-moving cyclists, including e-bike riders.<br /><br />Many have reported frequent near-misses and accidents, with one elderly woman saying the lane is "dangerous" and urging that it be moved to the roadside.<br /><br />Transport for London has stated it will review the location, prioritising safety for both cyclists and pedestrians.
