A teenager has been arrested after a seagull was allegedly killed with a catapult in Ashford, Kent, on 22 February.<br /><br />Local resident Jodine Mills witnessed the attack, which she says involved three birds, and confronted the group.<br /><br />One gull was later found alive but had to be put down due to severe injuries.<br /><br />Mills described the act as "psychotic behaviour" and called for stronger punishments for animal cruelty.<br /><br />Kent Police confirmed a 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with this and a separate incident but has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
