A blind grandmother was denied entry to a Morrisons Daily store with her guide dog, Dougie, because the owner claimed to be allergic.<br /><br />Caroline Kennelly, 54, who has just 3% of her vision, was left distressed by the incident at the Canterbury branch on February 27.<br /><br />Despite her right to access public spaces with an assistance dog under equality law, the store displayed signs banning dogs due to allergies.<br /><br />Morrisons apologised for the incident, but the store manager insisted the ban on guide dogs would continue, offering instead to have a staff member do Ms Kennelly’s shopping for her.
