Understanding is perhaps the best and only solution to interacting with some people-1

We often struggle in interacting with those people who seem to believe they know everything and are better than others in some way.

This is of course very, very frustrating.

Dr. Ramini has talked of how "love" will accomplish little or nothing with such individuals.

Perhaps this is because love may involve the giving of something rather tangible, or the offering of toleration. See Dr. Alain de Botton of the The School of Life, for his views on Love.

"What True Love Really Is":

https://youtu.be/bw-_iPIcGIU

IF, however, we consider another aspect, the aspect of so many individuals having massive shame in their lives, and how then, arguably, they compensate with the very aspects mentioned above - knowing everything, and a sense of superiority, as well as "deserving", including deserving to have been born, and to have been born as a human rather than a mayfly, and even, believing they deserve for the Universe to exist, then this is something that surely needs addressing, and rarely is addressed, I believe.

This perhaps is why Dr. Ramani said, once, that she knew only one person who had the capacity to change someone like this, with "love". I would think it was not love that was offered, but rather, UNDERSTANDING: understanding of the shame they feel, and how it is unwarranted.

It is the power to look at oneself in the mirror and not feel shame, that likely is what we all need, some more than others.

See Sean Stephanson for more:

"The prison of your mind | Sean Stephenson | TEDxIronwoodStatePrison":

https://youtu.be/VaRO5-V1uK0

Or, as the motivational speaker Les Brown was told, by his mother:
"HOLD your HEAD HIGH!" No matter what, I would add.

Thus, when we UNDERSTAND the SHAME of someone and can also HELP the OTHER person understand this, SOMETHING MAGNIFICENT surely must happen: a releasing of some BIND, some FIXATION, Freud might have called it.

Maybe, too, this is why Erich Fromm, the psychoanalysis who wrote "The Art of Loving", once said, words to the effect, "MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER MET ANYONE CAPABLE of LOVING Them".

Perhaps this is not love at all. Perhaps this is something FAR HARDER to COME UP with, and is ROCKET SCIENCE for us Mortals, at present.
