Rare planetary alignment graces Chilean skies

A rare celestial alignment was captured at the Paranal Observatory in Chile, where seven planets were visible in a small area of the sky.

According to Chilean astronomer Luis Chavarria Garrido, this event occurs once every 400 years. The planets appear in a straight line due to their orbital paths, though they are spread out in the solar system.

"The planets are positioned in what appears to be a straight line in the sky, but we must remember that the planets are not actually close to each other," said Chavarria Gardo.

REUTERS / ESO / B.HEUSSIER VIDEO

Subscribe to The Manila Times Channel - https://tmt.ph/YTSubscribe

Visit our website at https://www.manilatimes.net

Follow us:
Facebook - https://tmt.ph/facebook
Instagram - https://tmt.ph/instagram
Twitter - https://tmt.ph/twitter
DailyMotion - https://tmt.ph/dailymotion

Subscribe to our Digital Edition - https://tmt.ph/digital

Check out our Podcasts:
Spotify - https://tmt.ph/spotify
Apple Podcasts - https://tmt.ph/applepodcasts
Amazon Music - https://tmt.ph/amazonmusic
Deezer: https://tmt.ph/deezer
Tune In: https://tmt.ph/tunein

#TheManilaTimes
#worldnews
#chilean
#planetary
