China on Tuesday said the arrest of Philippine ex-President Rodrigo Duterte was “an important breaking incident” and was “closely following the developments.”<br /><br />Duterte was arrested at Manila's international airport on Tuesday on the orders of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in connection with a case of crime against humanity filed against him, the Philippine government said.
