Awesome scenes show lighting over Atlanta at the weekend.<br /><br />Amir Shaheen captured footage of a severe storm that passed through Georgia on Saturday (15 March) night.<br /><br />His footage shows reverse lightning, a rare phenomenon where electrical discharges originate from tall structures or the ground and travel upwards towards the clouds.<br /><br />The storms brought heavy rainfall, flash flood warnings, and high winds, with multiple trees down across the region.
