Britain's art museums are facing a dramatic decline with the Tate galleries alone losing 2.7 million visitors in five years, new figures reveal.Visitor numbers to the publicly funded Tate, which operates four galleries across the country, have plunged by over 30 per cent since 2019, while other cultural institutions like the British Museum and Natural History Museum have rebounded to pre-pandemic levels.
